Post

Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year.  We are making history by beginning the school year with distance learning.   Things will be different and at times challenging but filled with promise and opportunity. This message is also on our school app, Isador Cohen found on the Apple or Android app store. Please download the app to receive the most update information about our campus.

School Plan for Distributing Student Supplies and Textbooks for 20-21 School Year

As we did during our Chromebook distribution last year, our plan is to distribute to families through drive-thru stations along our circular driveway at the front entrance of the school. If you are planning to walk, we will be strictly applying social distancing guidelines in order to keep everyone safe and healthy, which means waiting at least six feet away from the person in front of you. When you enter the driveway there will be three stations, indicated by cones. Pull up to next available cone.  Be prepared to show your ID and indicate your student’s name and grade level. Please remain in your car.  A staff member will gather your belongings and deliver them to your car.

Please look carefully for your grade:

Friday, August 28th:  9:00 – 10:00 Kinder and 1st

Friday, August 28th: 10:00 – 11:00, 2nd and 3rd

Friday, August 28th: 11:00 – 12:30, 4th – 6th

Chromebooks are available and will provided in the following priority order:

  1. Kindergarten students
  2. Students new to  SCUSD/Isador Cohen who do not have a Chromebook
  3. Families with siblings who only have one Chromebook and find they need another.

Please do not come before your window, as we will not have had the opportunity to get student belongings ready for distribution. If you have multiple children at Cohen and want to collect all materials at the same time, please come during the window of the child in the highest grade level.

Please bring patience and positivity with you, as these will help ensure the distributions go smoothly.

Take care,

Ms. Bridgewater
